History

Roma Security Service has been operating for  over 50 years. Originally just doing Security Patrols and Alarm activation call outs in Roma. About  1995 the previous owner acquired the business and started adding extra services and growing the business in the Roma area. In 2003 RH O’Toole Family Trust  purchased the business. The company since then has continued to add extra services and growth to the business. Extra services  added include Staff and Personnel Escorts, Construction & Critical Infrastructure Site Access and Patrols, ATM CLM and FLM, Cash in Transit, Alarm installation, Alarm Monitoring, CCTV installation and repairs Roma Security Service is an Indigenous locally owned and operated business that employs local people. Today  Robert and his wife Gail manage the business extending its services through out  South West Qld.

Management

RH O’Toole Pty Ltd Managing Director and Share holder Robert Henry O’Toole has more than 40 years experience in the security industry, starting part time in 1980. Mr. O’Toole was born in St George Qld, his parents had a sheep and cattle property at Bollon Qld. In 1980 he went to collage in Brisbane and it was at this time that Mr. O’Toole started working part time in the Security Industry. After leaving collage he worked in the wool industry in South West Qld as a Professional Wool Classer. In 1983 Mr. O’Toole started work for a Stock and Station agent  as Branch Manager at Quilpie Qld. In the later part of the 1980’s went to work for a Parks NSW Wool buying firm supplying wool for Woolen Mills in India, Russia and China. In 1989 went to work for Elders as Territory Manager based in Charleville Qld. In  1990’s started his own  business at St George and did further  work, studies and training relevant to the Security Industry. In 2000 Mr. O’Toole moved to Roma  working for the previous owner  and has continued to work full time in the industry since buying Roma Security Service with his partner Gail. Our focus as a business is very much about relationships and meeting customer needs.
